Annet Mahendru

Mahendru was born to an Russian Indian mother as well as an Afghan Hindu father. She is fluent in German, Russian English as well as French Persian and Hindi. Annet Mahendru is the daughter of an Indian father, as well as a Russian mother. She choreographed her 11 year old show that resulted in an appearance on German TV appearance as a Russian Snow Maiden who transforms into a jovial Indian Dancer. She graduated from high school in New York and received a bachelor of Arts in English at St. John's University. She was a student of improv and comedy at Groundlings School after leaving HB Studio. She was raised within Kabul Afghanistan by a Hindu/Indian father Ghanshan Mahendru, and an Russian-speaking mother Olga. When she was just 13 her parents divorced. Her father relocated her household to East Meadow New York. She is best known as the ex- KGB agent Nina Sergeevna Krilova in FX's The Americans. She also had recurring roles on Fox's The Following as well as the NBC show The Blacklist.
